Born in Vigo (Spain) in 1992, from a young age he’s shown exceptional musical abilities in trumpet. He’s participated in concerts and television programs. With great success, he’s managed to receive critically acclaimed reviews that praise his maturity at such a young age.
Since the age of 8, he’s obtained numerous prestigious awards in international competitions such as Yamaha Madrid, Ciudad de Benidorm (presided by Maurice André), Porcia Italia, Maurice André Francia, Selmer Paris, P. Jones, Gebwiller, Francia, Theo Charlier Bélgica, always being the youngest contestant in each division.
From such a young age, he’s also participated in radio and television programs such as TVE, Antena 3, Cuatro, TV Francesa, Radio France, TV Italiana, Radio Clásica, TV Tokyo, Beijing TV, Armenian TV….
At the age of 12, he was featured as a soloist in a Christmas concert in the Sinfónica Orchestra from the R.T.V.E in the National Audtioriumof Madrid and the Zaragoza Auditorium, directed by Adrian Leapper. This successful concert was later transmitted world wide by TVE International. Simultaneously, at the young age of 12, he also recorded his first song “Ensueño”. He presented it with ample success and tours all throughout Spain and Portugal.
Ruben periodically teaches courses and masters classes in different countries around the world such as Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, England, Estonia, Turkey, China, Japan, Korea, Peru, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, United States.
He regularly performs with Orchestras such as Spain’s Radio Television, Valencia Orchestra, Galicia Philharmonic, Illas Baleares Symphony, Múnich Orchestra, Stuttgart (Germany) Paris, Nantes Philharmonic, Nice (France), Lisboa’s Metropolitan, Viana do Castelo (Portugal), San Cristóbal Symphony (Venezuela), Roma, Cannes Philharmonic (Francia), Porcia Symphony, Emile Romagne (Italia ) Beijing (China) Heredia, San José (Costa Rica), Caracas (Venezuela), Kanazawa Symphony (Japón) ...
He has also performed with great Symphonies such as: Comunidad de Madrid, Municipal Palma de Mallorca, B. M. Coruña, B.M. Santiago, B.M.Valencia (Spain) Garde Republicaine Paris, Nantes, Burdeos (France) Stuttgart, Berlin (Germany) Viana do Castelo, Oporto (Portugal) Roma, Sicilia (Italy) Estambul (Turkey), Siena Wind Tokio (Japan), Beijin (China) San José, Heredia (Costa Rica)…
In July of 2005, at the age of 13, he was invited by Maurice André to the prestigious and critically acclaimed International Week of the Trumpet celebrated in Burdeos (France). Maurice André himself has spoken highly of Rubén’s exceptional technique for such a young age. In 2008, he participated in the Lille Auditorium together with Maurice André and the trombonist Michel Becquet, in a concert that was aired in French radio and television.
In the same year, he was recognized for this brilliantly successful career and received the European Cultural Award in Stuttgart, Germany.
He has participated in various international competitions like “Internacional Trumpet Guild”, I.T.G. 2009, celebrated in Pensilvania, National Trumpet Competition”, celebrated in Denver, where he performed accompanied by the “United States Air Force Academy Band” and Canadian Brass….
Rubén has recorded various songs heard world wide with labels like “Avex Classics”, with Siena Wind Tokio, Orchestra Symphony Kanazawa (Japón), Various Symphonic bands, Camera orchestras, piano, baroque organ...
He’s also been featured and released various recording of modern composers known world wide such as “Concerto Ibérique” de V. Cosma, in Garde Republicaine de Paris. Performing in the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. This performance was later aired on French television. Currently, he is a trumpet player, a professor of pedagogy at the Plasencia Conservatory and goes around the world teaching masters classes.
